LEGATO A48 ANALOG AUDIO ROUTER Up to 48x48 analog audio router. Fully balanced. Ethernet (Web, SNMP) and serial control. Basic configuration is 16x16 upgradeable by the user to 48x48 with 16 channels modules. 2 Rack units. The A48 is a software controlled analog audio router. The basic configuration of the system consists of a 16 input / 16 output audio switching matrix enclosed in a 2U rack module plus a powerful and user friendly operation software running under Windows 2000 or XP. The matrix can be further expanded by adding 16 in and 16 out expansion cards up to a maximum size of 48 inputs and 48 outputs, always within the same 19" rack unit. All physical connections are achieved via the rear panel. The TESI A48 Analog Audio Router features high input noise rejection and electronically balanced inputs and outputs using 8 channel industry standard D-Sub25 connectors (Tascam© DA88 style). The router is controlled from the front-end PC software using the standard RS232, 422 or Ethernet port of the computer. The serial and Ethernet communication protocol is available for custom developments. In serial mode, all operations are performed through a powerful and simple to use Windows based operating system. The main window consists of an x/y grid, where all connections are achieved through 'point and click' operations. Doubleclicking on any crosspoint on the grid executes that specific connection; doubleclicking again will simply disconnect that crosspoint. Software features also include: naming of inputs and outputs, saving and restoring complex routing configurations to/from disk, macro definition/execution capabilities, etc. When controlling the router through the ethernet port, an internal web server can be used to perform basic operations or an external SNMP-based application will control the system with full control of user locks, multi router macro execution and label editing. The TESI A48 is currently being used in a wide variety of applications, including TV and radio stations, film and video post-production studios, large PA systems and wherever a high quality, flexible and reliable audio routing device is needed.
